Food court a place of cultural diversity concerning food

Since the pandemic has dawn upon his in these past two years, the hygiene and sanitization has become central to the workings of life. The functioning of things is now dependent on the hygiene level. In the early days of covid-19, the impact of fear was immense and prevailed for the next few months of it. Even now people are layered with the mongering fear of the repercussion of covid-19 but since precautions have laid its course, the fear has settled down rather than it being settled into the hearts and minds of the people. In the few months being did not step out or ordered food from outside – restaurant food, junk food or did not eat the street food. Markets were closed, restaurants were closed and so were the streets but the food delivery apps were running in the hope that people will order food. After the fear vanished into the thin air of covid, people noticed that food in the restaurants and the very famous cafes was being served as well as delivered with utmost precautions necessary.

Food court in Ghaziabad in Pacific Mall is known to be one of the most serving food courts of the city, enriching people with the experience of food. One thing about food court is that it enriches your palette with food experiences of varied culture and diversity. It becomes one of the hot spots for a culturing amalgamating boiling spot for people. It enables you to try cuisines belonging to different states of India and different countries too.

This cultural exchange of food enriches people with unprecedented experiences. Ranging from junk food outlets to the core North Indian restaurants, a food court has it all to give it all to the people coming to seek good and tasty food fulfilling their empty stomach.

College, Malls and Dreams

I lived in Dwarka, New Delhi for 3 years, from 2013 to 2016, for my college education. I rented a bed in a paying guest accommodation in Dwarka Sector 13 and would travel to Dwarka Sector 9 six days a week. This was my first time living away from home and it took me a while to get used to the independent lifestyle. Things became better when I made a few good friends in college and formed a good social circle. After the college classes, some of us would want to hang out and to find a decent place, we would visit all the malls around looking for a dining establishment where we could sit and relax for hours on end. My friends and I must have visited over 4 malls in a week but found none of them to be operational. We did spot a few food joints but the rush of customers would force us to leave the establishments after our meals. We wished and hoped that someone would build a fully-operational Mall in Dwarka for us but it just did not happen in the three years of our college lives. ...

The New Mall and My Cousins

Ever since the new mall -  Pacific Mall  - has opened in NSP Pitampura, the life of the residents of the area has become more convenient. Before, shoppers would need to travel to interior markets or to other shopping malls afar to take care of their shopping needs and wants but now, they have a shopping centre right next to them. Now, the shoppers have access to the best of apparel, footwear, accessories, lifestyle and electronics brand outlets, all under one roof, just beside them! There is no doubt about the fact that Pacific Mall will soon be labelled as the  best shopping mall in NSP  by the shoppers and other mall visitors. My extended family resides in NSP Pitampura and has not stopped mentioning the mall on our weekly calls. My cousin is a fashion icon in her college and would have to travel to a mall in West Delhi for her seasonal shopping sprees but now, she just drives down to the mall, which takes her hardly 10 minutes, and is back home with a...

My niece, family and amusement

When my little niece was sent away to boarding school in Dehradun, there was an uproar in my family. All the elders were furious and the children were scared. No one seemed to support the idea and everyone started calling up my brother and sister-in-law to give them a piece of their mind. At that time, no one could understand the logic behind this rough decision and the family kept making illogical plans to bring her back home. It took over three months for my brother and his wife to warm everyone to the decision. They wanted to provide a good education to my niece, which was not possible in their hometown due to a lack of good schools in the district. While most of the family stopped making further plans to bring her back home, some kept enquiring about the toys shop in Dehradun so that they could get some toys delivered to her hostel dorm. Her grandfather even took a step further and announced that he would buy a gift shop in Dehradun to be able to send gifts to the little girl o...
